Asante Valpolicella 2023 'Corte Canella'


Valpolicella comes only from fresh grapes to preserve the aromas and scents of the fruit. For Corte Canella, Valpolicella means land and tradition, with that personal nuance that makes it different. The processes, in fact, including three months of permanence in oak barrels, make it soft, but at the same time lively.


Denomination: Valpolicella DOC

Grapes: Corvina 40% Corvinone 50% Rondinella 10%

Region: Veneto (Italy)

Alcohol content: 13%

Format: 75 cl bottle

Vinification: The manual harvest is followed by a soft pressing. Steel was chosen for the maturation, followed by three months of permanence in oak barriques

Refinement: in oak barrels for 3 months. Then aging in the bottle for at least six months

Allergens: Contains sulfites

Color: Brilliant ruby red
Olfactory analysis: On the nose the hints of red fruit and slightly spicy prevail, it is a wine that contains all the tradition of Valpolicella
Taste Analysis: In the mouth it is soft and fresh, the tannins remain light and unobtrusive. Medium bodied and good persistence.
How to serve it: Serving temperature 16°-18°C.
How to taste it: Chalice
Pairings: A wine that goes very easily with first and second courses, to be preferred with cured meats and young cheeses.


The story of this winery speaks of vineyards and dreams, of a man and his love for the land, with one desire: to trace his own path.
In 2009, Francesco overturns and re-invests his whole life in an ambitious project: to open a cellar and make a wine that leaves its mark. Accompanied by his wife Adriana, Corte Canella was born.
In 2013, her daughter Gloria joins her: daughter of a dream that didn't belong to her, now she represents the future.
