The Valpolicella Ripasso of Villa San Carlo expresses the union between the freshness of Valpolicella and the richness of Amarone. The aging in barrel gives spicy tones and silky tannins which, in balance with the fresh and fruity aromas, recall a great aging capacity.

Vinification: In the month of December, after the traditional vinification of fresh grapes in steel tanks, the wine is "repassed" on the freshly fermented Amarone marc. This second fermentation and the aging in wood enhance the intensity of the color and aromas and a consequent increase in structure. This is followed by about 12 months of mixed aging in second passage tonneaux and large medium toasted French oak barrels
