Metronis Garganega 'Villa San Carlo'
Metronis Vendemmia Tardiva Villa San Carlo 2021 is obtained from only hand-selected Garganega grapes and harvested in late October towards the end. From over 40-year-old vines of a low-yield historic parcel, a concentrated fruit is harvested, rich in noble compounds that enhance its characteristics.

Vinification: Metronis Vendemmia Tardiva Villa San Carlo 2021 is obtained from only hand-selected Garganega grapes and harvested in a late harvest towards the end of October. Immediate destemming and direct soft pressing. Cold decantation for 24 hours is followed by a slow fermentation of about two weeks at 16°C. Towards the end of fermentation, part of the wine is decanted into acacia wood where it macerates in contact with whole berries for about 4 months. The other part of the wine stays in steel on its fine lees and with daily bâttonage for about 4 months. Final blending is carried out before bottling

Delicate aromas of white flowers and hints of fresh white-fleshed fruit, aromatic herbs, rosemary, lemon balm and tea leaves unfold on the nose

Of balanced freshness on the palate the taste notes show soft and warm flavors, round and elegant it closes with a finish of almond and white pepper

In 1958 , Gianni Pavesi got married and bought the Villa San Carlo estate, a precise lifestyle choice that allowed his six children to grow up and live enjoying the benefits of the natural environment and developing a solid bond with their land. The wine business is structured starting from the 2009 harvest, from this vintage, in fact, Gianni, after a life as a successful entrepreneur, matures the will to see his passion for the vineyard combined with the value of his land in a label in the name of Villa San Carlo .
