Lagrein Passocroce Trentino DOC 'Corvèe'


The Passocroce vines are located in a place of choice for the cultivation of Lagrein on the slopes of Cembra: set on the eastern side of the historic site of Doss Caslìr (Cembra 638 m asl), it enjoys a happy South-East exposure . The loamy-sandy soil, with a good supply of clay, originating from lateral morainic deposits following the disintegration of the local porphyries, favors a natural advance of ripening of the grapes

Format: 75 cl bottle

Vinification: Manual harvesting in the first ten days of September, soft pressing,
static decantation of the must, fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks

Ageing: aging on the lees for about 18 months in 225 liter French oak barrels, aging in the bottle for about 6 months before being marketed.

Olfactory analysis: Lagrein Passocroce is a structured and elegant wine, with aromas of undergrowth fruits (currant, blackberry and blueberry) accompanied by hints of star anise, cocoa and tobacco
Taste analysis: The time in the bottle favors aromas reminiscent of violet, sometimes lilac and sage.
How to serve it: Serving temperature 16°-18°C
How to taste it: Serve in a medium open goblet
Pairings: Excellent with risotto with mushrooms and first courses with meat sauces, second courses of roasted or grilled meat, cured meats and cold cuts.


The Corvée winery, set in the porphyry soils of the municipality of Cembra Lisignago, at about 700 meters above sea level, is protected to the east
from the vaunted resonance fir forests of Paneveggio, to the south skims the horizon of the "Trentino red gold" quarries, the porphyry, source of
work and fortune of the entire valley, and finally to the west it caresses the imposing massif of the Brenta Dolomites.

All the terraces in the valley are warmed by the brightest sun in the south and every day, towards sunset, crossed by the gentle breeze of the Ora del Garda.
