The Durella vineyards are located in Vestenanova. We're around 600 meters above sea level. Borgoletto is Franchetto's interpretation of Durella sparkling wine, made according to the Martinotti method in an autoclave. What do we love about this wine? Drinking a sip is like eating a bunch of freshly picked Durella, an explosion of citrus, freshness, and... happiness.

CHARACTERISTICS

Denomination: Lessini Durello DOC

Grape varieties: 100% Durella

Region: Veneto (Italy)

Alcohol content: 12.5%

Format: 75 cl bottle

Vinification: Harvest takes place around mid-September . After destemming, the grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by secondary fermentation in an autoclave for 5-6 months. After bottling, the wine rests in the bottle for another 4 months.

Aging: Rests in bottle for 4 months

Allergens: Contains sulphites

Color: Straw yellow with greenish reflections
Olfactory analysis: On the nose, it expresses an intense aroma of flowers, white-fleshed fruit, and lime. The mineral sensation of flint is a distinctive characteristic of the strength of the volcanic soils on which the vines are planted.
Taste analysis: It has a silky, clean, and not at all harsh perlage. The full body positively embodies the structural acidity typical of the Durella grape. The freshness and savory character are unrelenting on the palate, complemented by a beautiful alcoholic and aromatic structure. The aftertaste lingers, revealing notes of citrus and sweet almond.
How to serve it: Serving temperature 6°-8°C
How to enjoy it: Serve in a large flute
Pairings: Lessini Durello is a versatile wine, perfect for aperitifs and desserts. Borgoletto is particularly suited to an aperitif with sopressa, Monte Veronese mezzano cheese, and pan biscotto. It pairs beautifully with delicious finger foods, including fish.

Producer:

The Franchetto family has lived and cultivated the land since 1800 in Terrossa, a small village in the wild hills rich in biodiversity of the Val d'Alpone – at the foot of the Lessini Mountains. However, the story of 'Cantina Franchetto' begins later, in 1982, when Antonio Franchetto, at the age of 20 and already aware of the great potential of his territory, decides to have his say by starting to press his grapes and make his own wine. Today Giulia Franchetto, together with her mother and father, carries on the family history by running the company and always working in Terrossa, where it all began.
